Foi criada uma ação no Twitter e Facebook, onde chamavam as pessoas para torcer e assistir juntos a transmissão ao vivo do pronunciamento do Papa Bento XVI online no site. Esta transmissão também foi feita em vários locais do mundo. No Rio de Janeiro, o local escolhido foi o Maracananzinho, onde juntaram fies torcendo pela escolha da cidade maravilhosa.

Ao final da transmissão, o site torcida foi trocado no mesmo momento, para o novo site do JMJ que está em funcionamento atualmente.
